About me

I am a fully qualified dog trainer and have graduated from the Victoria Stillwell Academy for Dog training and behaviour. I have years of experience working with puppies and dogs of all breeds, ages and sizes and have conducted hundreds of puppy classes, dog agility classes and 1-1 training consultations. I regularly attend dog behaviour conferences to continuously improve my knowledge and skills since, like with our dogs, I believe that learning never stops.

I am passionate about delivering high quality, effective dog training based on science and using the latest methods. Therefore I never use techniques involving fear, intimidation or physical punishment that have a high risk of causing long term physical and/or emotional harm. My training methods are based on building strong relationships and mutual respect. I aim to truly understand every individual dog I work with; what they like, what makes them tick and use that information to build a training plan that is both fun for the dog and effective for the owner.

My Story

I have always loved dogs. In fact, when I was younger, at friends’ parties I’d often be the one hanging out on the floor with the dog. I’d often spend much of my spare time reading, watching and learning all I could about dogs.

After graduating with a degree in Philosophy from Oxford University, I took some time to re-evaluate what it was I truly wanted to do. I knew I loved animals, problem solving and helping people, so when I first got my cavapoo puppy Finley, I took him to puppy classes and loved it. Dog training seemed to be a perfect combination of my skills and interests!

In fact, I loved the puppy classes so much, I asked the trainer if she was looking for someone to help. After months of observation, practice and study, I started leading my own puppy training classes and dog agility classes. I have since led hundreds of classes and later started offering 1-1 training consultations for clients in their own homes.

Whilst working as a dog trainer, I studied to become a qualified trainer under the VSA academy, a rigorous academic and practical study of dog training and behaviour – this is something I am very proud of.

I regularly attend various dog training behaviour conferences to improve my knowledge and skills. I will always strive to provide the highest quality service to my clients.
